good luck to you, sharod. youll learn more once you get in.represent the AF well.
March 20th, 2010 at 9:08 am
Completely agree. Thats why we made the different branches, but the marines are a bit of everything, where as the air force is strictly flight/intel related jobs. very few combat jobs.
but its true, i can’t be a marine. I looked into the army, but the Air Force is better, and i’m not sure if i’ll go in fulltime, i know i’ll go as reserve or ANG so they pay off ERAU tuition, but i’ll either go into ATC in the AF or for the FAA.

@colors1387 its all good bro. But, in bootcamp they really dont teach about the other branches being bad or inferior. they really dont. I think its just recruits get out of bootcamp, they just got done with probably the biggest obstacle in their lives, and they always here about old time military making jokes about one another and just take it to the next level. but, once they really grow up a little, and see that all branches support one another, they calm down. Hopefully. lol and another

devildog, thanks for setting me straight.accept my apology.i have a question for you-has the philosphy of the corp or boot camp changed?or the maturity level of new recruits?im the product of a military fam(army, navy, marines, and myself-AF)and my dad, brothers, and i Never downed another service .there’s a lot of venomous comments about my AF and the shit aint good-natured.back in the day we talked shit but we had a healthy respect for each other’s service.what gives?your honest opinion please.THNX
March 20th, 2010 at 9:48 am
hey man someones gotta do it. and i just want you to know, i was just fuckin around with that comment. AF and USMC are 2 completely different ballgames. Marines are physical, and more battle hardened.. thats what we do, we kill. AF is more a brainiac and intel.. which, really is badass. theres nothing more badass than seein a F22 Raptor flyin low. Every branch has a vital role in everything. AF couldnt do it alone, and neither could the Marines. At least ur joining the military. congrats

sherod101,if you want to be a marine, be one .many of them were (are) lacking as well.frankly, wanting to be a marine but choosing the Air Force is like wanting a rusted-out geo but buying a Rolls Royce.know that you have chosen THE premier U.S. military. you will be challenged mentally and academically like no other service.if you can meet that challenge, take it.some have chosen mediocrity but they Had to play the hand they were dealt. those hapless souls are not counted amongst our ranks.

just as much men, sex doesn’t have any effect on what position you’ll get (unless its special forces operations).
but as far as going to the front line, if your battalian, squadron, platoon, division or reserve unit gets called, your going with the whole team.
but thats the Air Force, they don’t go to the frontlines.
if you want more info, go to my page, subscribe, and email me on the email account presented or drop a comment, n i’ll reply ASAP
i’ll let you in on things recruiters don’t
March 20th, 2010 at 12:25 pm
i’ll be honest, i wish i could be a marine, but truthfully, i can’t. i don’t have the physical requirements, i don’t think i’d be able to pull through, and i simply don’t wish to work with an open contract with the military (they don’t have final deals in the marines). I’m just not cut out for it.
I’d rather go AF because i fit the requirements, they have the jobs that i’m interested in, i don’t plan to go to the mid east to fight, and i still get all the military benefits
das why i’ll do AF
March 20th, 2010 at 12:54 pm
if you want a real challenge and be a real bad ass. go to the nations finest, and be the best and most respected. Be a Marine. I mean, good God, I’ve had worse challenges when i was in recess as a child.

Hey, would any of you guys know if a pilots license will increase the chance of flying? This may be a stupid question but I am curious.
